Over-the-Counter Teeth Whitening - Gel, Toothpaste & More

How to Have Whiter Teeth?

Whitening treatments for teeth have become convenient and easy to use in recent years. It is not necessary to go to a dentist's office since you can also do it at home. Here are some over-the-counters products as reference for those who want to save money without the need to visit a dentist.

Non-prescription Products

Select your preferred bleaching method. Remember to read the instructions on usage carefully and note if there is anything you need to pay special attention. These include tooth whitening patches, custom dental trays, tooth whitening gels, toothpaste and mouthwashes.
The tooth whitening patch contains an active ingredient placed directly on teeth. Apply for 30 minutes up to 2 times a day for around 2 weeks.

The upper and lower trays of the custom dental tray contain active whitening ingredients. The tray should be worn 30 to 60 minutes a day for 5 to 10 days.

Teeth whitening gels need to be applied to tooth surface. They take several days depending on the type of gel.

Toothpaste containing peroxide minimizes contact time of active ingredient on teeth.
The above teeth whitening products cost less than visiting a dentist and are readily available in supermarkets and pharmacies.
